What's the deal with the Watchers?

Interesting thread OP. The story of the watchers is similar to that of prometheus. They are fallen angels but not the luciferian kind. They just fell enamored with mankind and taught em stuff much like good ol prom, and got chastised for it bound in darkness (rock for prom) till the end of times. All these stories are symbolic and exist for many religions and cultures including greek, egyptian, norse and so on.

I believe Prometheus gets freed eventually in Greek mythology. Maybe the Watchers are freed eventually too.

I'll have to go skim over the apocalypses, and find what didn't make sense then, that does make sense now.

These are two separate events in separate time frames.

"The Book of Enoch, The Prophet" (300BCE-50CE), beginning in Chap VII, discusses the pre Deluge events regarding the Watchers. Samyaza's Horde of 200 Watchers would have come to Earth during, or prior to, the life of the Patriarch Enoch (c. 3,382-3017 BCE)

Revelation 12
When the woman was about to give birth (v. 1 & 2), the moon was at her feet. She was not on Earth.
(v. 3) Dragon appeared in Heaven
Revelation 12:4 states "Its [the Red Dragon's] tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth."
This discusses stars and not angels.
This verse is highly debated and yes, many believe that 1/3 of the angels fell.

Even if the Stars were to be considered Angels, they could not merely be the 200 Watchers enumerated in "Enoch". Revelation 5 had previously spoken of "myriads of myriads". This is 10K * 10K or 100 Million angels.

And. Revelation is in the future (after c. 70 CE)

There is no indication that Angels in Revelation landed on Mount Hermon. That was the Watchers in "Enoch".
Mount Hermon appears 13 times in the Bible and only in the OT.
AND
The North Pole is 90deg North and 33 deg North would be 36.7% of the distance between the equator and the pole.

The nephilim aren't necessarily an argument against the Watchers. I mean Christianity created Islam, but Christianity is still good.

There's a lot of cool shit surrounding mount Hermon. The Grigori (watchers, as you call them) were definitely a cool story - meeting on the mountain to make their pact, creating the Nephilim and so forth.

There's a theory that this was the birth of White man. Another cool thing you might not know is that, on top of Mount Hermon, to this day, is a permanently occupied UN base.

I didn't say it wasn't curious.
I merely point out that:
a) The Story of the Watchers and the Nephalim is separate from the Apocalypse of John revealed in Revelation.
b) If the Watchers are part of the 1/3 of "Stars" cast to Earth in Revelation, they are are small percentage of the 33 Million plus cast down. They may be leaders, but John gives no indication of that.
c) The Lat and Long of Mount Hermon is inconsequential. Further, the New Testament makes no mention of Mount Hermon.
