I've had a very strange thing that has been happening for the last week. I work at a hotel at nights and have to do security walks of the building. Every night for the past week or so at 2 am while walking around the outside of the building, I have encountered someone flashing a light(flashlight?) at me. Same time every day. Same spot. Someone stands maybe 100 yards away just on the other side of a street light so I can't make them out but I swear I know them. I just literally moved to the other side of the country and don't know anyone. I've asked the other guy at work but he doesn't know what I am talking about.

>day 1 where is all this light coming from? Oh why is this ?guy? flashing his flash light at me. He seems familiar. Wave at them but the guy walks back into the dark.

>day 2 At 2 am the same thing happens same spot. Maybe this guy knows me. Walk towards them but half way there guy walks back into the dark. Fuck that noise go back to the hotel.

>day 3 flash flash flash flash. Maybe this is some sort or Morse code. Spend rest of shift trying to decipher the flashes as such. Translates as gibberish.

>day 4,5, same thing trying to decipher this shit. Take pen and paper with me to make I'm remembering the flashes correctly. Guy flashes light dots and dashes as far as I can tell for a while then walks off into the Night. Same just gibberish

>spend all weekend trying to decipher. Maybe it is in code? try common ones no luck. Get frustrated throw codes and such in fireplace. Fuck this weirdo

>come back to work 2 am guy starts to flash light. Walk on ignoring him get halfway away suddenly solid light from behind powerful enough to make my silhouette at 100+ yards. Did I just fuck up. Turn quickly to seen whats going on. Guy nowhere to be seen

Did I just goof? Does /x/ know of anything like this happening in an urban area?
