Well, in essence, everytime you dream, you are taken to another reality. To get to the astral plane, you need to be able to do lucid dreaming. I bet you could get there through your dreams. Last night I dreamt that I climbed through a portal to the opposite dimension of our world. Somehow the people there knew I didn't belong and I was fortunate enough to make it back through the portal to our own word.
