My query:
How can I get rid of this discomfort in my throat?

Backstory:
A little over a year ago I had a near death experience (don't really want to talk about it at the moment), this led to some anxiety problems which I feel has been resolved. Ever since though I have this problem with my throat, I feel as though there is something stuck in the back of my throat, like a physical blockage, which blocks part of my breathing pathway. It used to be a lot worse and would have me with irregular breathing which was worse for my anxiety and an overproduction of phlem which was hard to expel because of that blockage.

It's gotten better now I can expel phlem easier although I still seem to be over producing and my breathing is not as irregular, but the discomfort is still there. I have to try and clear my throat often which doesn't really help.

I asked whether this was an emotional/spiritual problem to /div/ and the reader said it was purely physical.

I suspect that the cause of this problem is either the back of my tongue is in some position that it shouldn't be blocking the air pathway or maybe my throat muscles are overly tense since the incident closing down pathways or maybe my breathing is not correct and I'm breathing too hard causing my pathways to close down.

I've been trying to fix this for months if not over a year and although it's gotten somewhat better the discomfort is still there.

Doctors have been of no help really.

Any help or guidance would be really really appreciated.

His eyes appear darkened from hard work but his mouth betrays the hint of a smile, which comes from the self-satisfaction of his accomplishments.
