If you like Jazz, see the Jazz preservation hall Jazz Band. Top notch and intimate setting.

For spoops, take a ride upto St. Francisville to see The Myrtles Plantation. Spoopy as fuck, been there many times as I grew up in the town.

But trust me on New Orleans, it sucks ass and is only meant as a trap for tourists who want to drink outside Mardi Gras season.

Also, if possible, do the Gray Line Cocktail Tour. It's a walking tour. They meet at the dock on the Mississippi and it's a walk thru the French Quarter to some of the oldest bars (1880s), and really just a history lesson about the city. If you can get Joe the tour guide. He's the one in the hat, in this link..
