Not really a lot of creatures in the desert, actually..
>>
Coyotes, vultures, cute armadillos, assorted birds and insects, the rare desert toad, maybe a xebet near water (not sure of english name)
>>
>>17856105
What about the nearby Mountains?

Uh no nothing there either, except all sorts of poisonous snakes and insects.. so it's better to avoid that region entirely..
>>
>>17856099
I know about one. I ran into it while I was on a journey through the desert, since I like dry, arid places a lot.

Out east past the view on those dirt roads and eventually 4x4 trails I've heard of shadow people being seen. Had a spoop with some friends from that once. Not really green text worthy. Also by the nellis dunes one time saw strange flashes of light on the ground but with no source. The ground was just being illuminated.
Also wtf captcha

Pardon the shortness of the first part, I simply wanted to make sure you knew I was still around.

Op here.
Just wanted a nice thread about desert monsters and ended up getting some Beaner sticking his JalapeƱo In horse Pussy.

>so I go looking for it and decide to do one last trek
>this time through the desert
>I decided to keep the horse if I found it because people are typically worse than skinwalker horses
>I never found it
>>
>>17856427
But why have sex with animals?
>>
>>17856454
Why not?
Anyway, so what do you all think it was? I got back to Chicago last week, so I was surprised to see a relevant thread on /x/.
>>
>>17856453
So.... not only did you fuck a horse, but you FUCKED A SKINWALKER HORSE?

That's bullshit -- but I believe it.
>>
>>17856459
WHAT PART OF THIS IS RELEVANT?!?!
>>
>>17856453
10 pages, 8.5 of them about you fucking a horse, just to say you though it was a SkinWalker. Dude.
>>
>>17856461
That's what I concluded, yeah. It didn't try killing me, though, just my tent, so I don't know for sure. Have there been accounts of skinwalkers not intent on killing, replacing, or taking people?
>>
>>17856467
The desert, and spoopy backwards horse?
>>
>>17856170
Patrolling the mojave almost makes you wish got a nuclear winter
>>
>>17856477
Maybe it enjoyed it Anon.
>>
>>17856477
(noice dubs)

perhaps the 'skinwalker' (I have a theory that 'skinwalkers' and other supernatural entities -- e.g. doppelgangers in Germany -- are just physical manifestations of the local spirit fauna, what our ancestors may have once called Faeries, or Nymphs) was testing you, I've noticed in almost all the other skinwalker/spoopy stories the first reaction the tellers have is one of terror/horror/fear/anger (or in the worst cases blatant disrespect, especially considering in most instances the humans are the ones intruding, this seems very unwise) and thus the entity responds in kind.
maybe your love for this beast reflected itself in the way you interacted

and as >>17856493 points out: maybe it enjoyed -- spoops gotta some lovin' too
>>
>>17856493
Kek, I like that interpretation.
>>
>>17856504
Hmm, that's pretty insightful, and makes a lot of sense. What'd you base this theory off of?
>>
>>17856504
The one involving them being nature spirits, that is, not the one that expalins why my skin is intact.
>>
>>17856516
>>17856519
Uhhhhmmmm.... a general coalesence of knowledge from consuming (a part) of the works of Robert Anton Wilson (primarily), the Tao Te Ching (the translation I read has a specific line "The Inner is foundation of The Outer" that I consider relevant to damn near everything), watching a fugload of Richard Bandler (the world's best, public-facing, hypnotist) seminars, reading James Joyce (Bandler personally recommends reading him at least once a month to his students, as Joyce was a master of hypnotic language), Angel Tech by Antero Alli .... apart from that: that's just how mind works, when I ain't doing anything else, I just start connecting dots.

The biggest tip for me was (and I have no fucking clue as to the truth of these claims) myths, iirc, of """"demons"""" innaNature would've only started appearing once people lost their connection with nature. i.e. once Europe got cucked by Emperor Constantine and the Council of Niceae, and spread a dogmatised flavour of christianity across europe, bringing with it an accompanying Inquisition that actively stomped out such 'heresy'.
Hence, instead of meeting forest spirits and naturally assuming these are the beings you've so much about in your tribe's mythos -- you promptly freak the fuck out; and because these entities obviously exist at a different frequency of reality, your perception of them becomes increasingly altered by the state of mind you find yourself in (for the duration of the encounter) ... and with an altered perception of them, they have an altered perception of you.

That's just my 2 cents anways
