>be in my room
>surfing the webs
>start hearing my parents fight downstairs like they sometimes do
>vividly hear the tv
>decide to go get some water
>leave my room
>downstairs is completely pitch black
>tv is off and my parents are sleeping in their room

>tfw this isn't the first time this has happened to me

Can someone explain what is happening here?
>>
>>17758596
It's all in your head
>>
>>17758596
You're experiencing the early signs of schizophrenia. Same thing happened to me before my diagnosis, only I used to hear dogs in the apartment next door fighting. Come to find out my neighbor has no dogs. Once i got on some neuroleptics the auditory stuff stopped p much overnight. Although now i have perpetual cotton mouth so i cant even practice my alltime fave hobby of dicksucking anymore.
>>
>>17758596
Maybe you're having auditory hallucinations OP
>>
>>17758606
I have had insane lucid dreams in the past and have experienced sleep paralysis. Some people told me that it's due to stress. Can this also be from stress?
>>
>>17758604
>>17758608

I think it might be more than that. There were 2 other times this happened when I physically felt something.

>be me
>still surfing the web
>hear and feel someone coming up the stairs in my house
>think its my dog but the thumps are too loud to be my dog
>see my dog sleeping in my bed
>not dog and no one else is home
>quickly panic and grab my machete and swing open my door ready to attack
>open door
>no one there
>>
>>17758622
Ehhh, i'm not a doctor so i cant say but i would get sleep paralysis really bad in the years leading up to when my schizophrenia got bad.
>>
>>17758637
How did you "feel" it.
As in, how vividly where the thumps, describe them.
>>
>>17758637
and the other time I physically felt something

>be me
>not surfing the web but just waking up from sleep
>laying in bed wide awake
>start feeling something knocking on the wood that supports my mattress
>knocks are rhythmic and I can physically feel each knock
>jump out of bed and look under the mattress
>nothing there.
>>
>>17758649

I was able to feel the vibrations through floors .
>>
>>17758622
could be stress, if you're under a lot of extreme stress. could be sleep deprivation, if you're not getting enough sleep. could be schizophrenia. could be a neurological condition. could be lots of things.

please go see a doc OP. the sooner you start ruling things out, the sooner you'll get to the bottom of it.
>>
Watch lunopolis. In that fake documentary they explain that sometimes dimensions overlap, thats the reason you hear everyday activity going on when the place is actually empty.
>>
>>17758658

knowing me i most likely wont try and seek help. You guys were my last resort
>>
>>17758641

I noticed a lot of us who experienced sleep paralysis have similar dreams. Care to share yours?
>>
>>17758675
well then surprise yourself and seek it anyway. it might not be schizophrenia at all, it might be a brain tumour that's operable now but will become inoperable in the future. it might be a sleep disorder that's making you tired and that's easily fixable with some meds or a change in sleep habits or something else. it could be some kind of poltergeist activity or something.

point is, you cared enough to post here about it. so take the next step and start ruling things out. don't look at it from a negative standpoint, look at it from the point of view that you're going to solve it.
>>
>>17758652
Yea no fucking clue.
I've never spoken to anyone with schitzo who had described it that way.

Maybe the vibrations trigger auditory hallucinations or associations of some sort. The mind is a complex organ, you can completely fabricate vivid memories if you so wish.

MAYBE ITS >>>/X/ WHO KNOWS?! Honestly, go to a doc, get some better sleep habits, relax, etc.

I wouldn't rule out the brain tumor. A few years after this all started happening I started to develop some sort of weird habbit. My face would naturally default into a large smile even though im not happy or laughing. Subconsciously when im not thinking about it my face will just be smiling to the point it starts to hurt and when it does I notice it and stop smiling till it happens again. This only happens when i'm alone tho. I never have to worry about it when i'm next to others but my mom sees it sometimes when im in the kitchen and shes in the living room looking at me. Guess i'm pretty messed when I think about it. Maybe I should seek help... Would a family doctor be the proper starting point?
>>
>>17758715
>Would a family doctor be the proper starting point?
Yes. A GP (general practitioner) will evaluate you and send you to a specialist for further testing, perhaps a MRI.
>>
Sounds like some entity is fucking with your mind, this happens when you're stressed and mentally drained, the entities start speaking to you. Happened to me 10 months ago, I would hear screams and people talking inside my head, but then I started doing meditation and regained control over my thoughts.
>>
>>17758596
I'd have to agree on other anons OP. It would be best if you visit a doctor
Two people in the family were schizophrenic and I've been starting to feel paranoid too, though not as bad as what you've described though.
Do you have any drug use history? I started doing psychedelics and I think they kind of fuck with my head since then
>>
>>17758810
tbqh this is what i thought it was the entire time. There was a time where my closet door would always be open in the morning even though I would be closing it every night. I kept on asking everyone if they came into my room and they all said no. Sometimes I would even throw clothes infront of it and it still would be open in the morning. A lot of other shit was happening too and it came to the point where I was telling the entitiy/spriti/ demon " I know you're here,I acknowledge your presence, what do you want from me?" . I was haunted by this presence for years. My first sleep paralysis dream with a unique presence went like this

>wake up from sleep
>just laying in bed looking at the wall
>turn to look to the right
>see a shadowy figure sitting at my pc chair. It had no face just was a black shadow humanoid figure with white noise .
>it gets up
>walks towards me
>sits on my chest
>literally can't breath for 20 seconds
>think I'm about to die
>wake up

I had another one while I was sleeping in my car while I was in between working 2 jobs.

>finish job
>have 3 hours before I have to start my other job
>decide to go to sleep in an empty mall parking lot
>turn on the radio
>just closing my eyes listening to the music
>all of a sudden I hear voices around me
>car starts to shake violently
>people outside my car screaming and shaking my car
>try my hardest to open my eyes but can't
>body is literally frozen I can't move arms or open eyes but I'm fully aware of my surroundings
>feet start to tingle and slowly start to gain function over my body again
> open my eyes
>no one around me.
>>
>>17758862
Never done drugs but I have been severely stressed and depressed the past 10+ years.
>>
I have had experiences with sleep paralysis a few times but never any hallucinations or bad dreams. just stuck and not able to movie for a little while. can this escalate? or is a something to do with my sleep apnea?
>>
>>17758870
Maybe that entity is trying to cheer you up. Open wide and let it do it.

the past few nights ive been hearing alot of loud thumps and a series of 'clicks' and i live alone. i have a small dog who sleeps in my room and everytime i hear the thumps and 'clicks' my dog is next to me. i thought i should smoke to calm down (which is usually my first reaction to this kinda stuff) then i ended up just being paralyzed for 2 hours.

wtf is this shit
>>
>>17758596
You have been hallucinating every day. You actually live alone. You have no parents.

and yet again

>be me
>still surfing the web
>can't sleep
>smell food being cooked
>wall downstairs
>as I walk down stair I hear talking and laughing
>every light downstairs is on
>noise is coming from dinning room
>my familey is sitting at the table
>mom dad and siblings all go silent when they see me
>my mother says dinner is ready nothing more
>go to fridge grab two liter of mt dew and leave kitchen
>as I'm walking up the stairs the laughing and talking starts again
>book to my room and look the door I'm so freaked out
>>
>>17759588
Don't smoke, it fux with your mental balance and makes it easy for negative emotions like fear to drain you. Oft feels like a paranormal attack, sometimes we're the victims of our own thoughts.

>>17759724

If you are the same poster and these stories are actually true, don't trust the advice of retards like >>17758810 . Actually you shouldn't be asking for advise on a board that spouts superstition and pseudoscience. You should get yourself checked because experiencing hallucinations involving multiple senses like what you describe is common a sign of brain disease. You could have several things from epilepsy to brain cancer, an whatever it is it won't go away by itself, so you should get yourself checked as soon as possible.
