In todays society, and in any society, what is the one thing that maintains order more than anything else?
Simple, knowledge. The tier structure of society is predicated exclusively upon knowledge and intelligence. Many different kinds of intelligence and knowledge but knowledge all the same.
Knowledge brings capability and undoes limitations in extreme cases such as where we build machines to overcome our limitations both mental and physical. If suddenly everyone was extraordinarily capable in the right ways society would be undone.
So, to ruin the tier and pyramid structure in society is to simply educate enough people in the right schools of knowledge.
However human nature is contradictory to self actualization and most people end up in a single career and profession and do little else.
So, to cause chaos in society it is a very simple thing.
You simply provide tools and capabilities that mimic the ability of someone who is intelligent.
I for one am going to create an app that is an AI designed to trade stocks for you to generate wealth.
Automated capitalism for everyone!
Or maybe an app that makes calculating the chemical structures of whatever you may want to make, easily made by your 3d printer, such as untraceable guns or what have you
Provide prosthetic intelligence for everyone and you get chaos!
We'll have to find a whole new way to organize our hierarchy one finical literacy and skill is provided cheap and easy to the average consumer.
Their are forces using technology to push us to a more socialist society, but it can also be more anarchistic

I like this idea. It's kinda what I've been aiming towards recently; your approach with "pretend" knowledge makes a lot more sense than trying to give retards actual knowledge

Wow... Okay, you're still not getting it - probably because you don't understand real intelligence. Let's go ahead and flash forward some amount of years until a time comes when everyone in the world can in fact "by" their own automated trading system for cheap.
The ones that everyone can afford will be simple ones that have been around for the longest. The algorithms that fuel these systems' decisions are based on will be well established and because of that, to trust them would literally be a worse choice than to buy stocks randomly because better algorithms will exist that exploit the logic of the more common well known algorithms.
There will always be people with true intelligence using it to get ahead. Even if for some mysterious reason someone with top tier intelligence actually released software he had designed that could give significant advantages to luddites instead of using it to his own advantage and the advantage of his progeny it still would only disrupt things for a very brief period of time. Once anything like that gets distributed it more or less immediately is just used by other top-tier intelligences to build upon and exploit to their advantage.
The only thing that the incredible sharing of technology we're experiencing now does is to more solidly cement in the hierarchy of intelligence - the technocracy.
So suck it, Discordians. If you want to do anything try to take down the grid and good fucking luck with that.
