Backstory: it was beautiful yesterday and I remembered seeing these abandoned buildings on google maps so I went to check them out.

The buildings were actually on the property of some chemical company. Most buildings had crumbled into themselves. The ones that didn't had lots of packing materials and other bulk materials for whatever it is they did there. It looks like they halted operations overnight. Maybe there were chemicals contaminating the land.

Generally a creepy vibe. You can tell that someone drives through every once and a while to either patrol or do work, but the property was really large. I was alone and it felt like I was being watched.

I don't know shit about wiccan crap, but I'm a fan of weird literature, so seeing someones little shrine intrigued me. I'm just posting these photos to hold peoples attention until someone can weigh in on the bones and stuff.

I work for a local news station, and about once a year we have a story about someone leaving cut up chickens in cemeteries. This is a common Santeria thing (or so I've read), but like I said I have zero idea about any of that mumbo jumbo.

The last photo. Sorry I don't have more of the skulls or any creepy experiences, but as you can tell from the sunset I ran out of daylight. Walking back in the dark was scary, but it takes a lot to freak me out. I'll go back one day and see if I find anything else weird. Anyone have any tips for befriending the tumblr witches who arranged the skulls?

The bones are just kind of a pile of found bones.

But they went to a lot of trouble to paint and arrange those bricks in an odd way. No idea what it means, but I think any understanding is going to have to be linked to the brick structure.

It looks like something was drawn in chalk below the feather, in the first photo it looks like just cracks in the brick, but in the second it looks more like a web like drawing ( that got rubbed out? ).

Was there evidence of burning? The bricks kind of have an oven/lantern look to them. If you had fire in the middle part you could heat stuff on flat top.

Maybe leave a little spooky item there, jewelry, silver trinket, hand woven branches into a sinister shape. Something very non-Christian. Then IF they want to respond they will leave something that conveys that.

That's a good idea about the burning. I didn't look inside, but maybe I'll go back one day soon. Like I said the bricks probably weren't painted by whoever did this so its probably just cracked. The piece of rebar sticking out of the concrete could have been used to hold something above a flame as well

One other notable thing was the skull on the left had some plants stuffed in it. I'm terrible at that stuff so don't ask me. Thanks for the info everyone. I'm upset I didn't get more detailed pics.

Don't bring guns, even if you have them. They are a huge liability and more often than not, you won't need them. They don't do any good as far as I can tell. I went alone. I started working a stressful job where my success depends on being calm under pressure, and since then I don't get scared often. Obviously if I saw hooded cloaked figures in all black walking towards me I'd be scared, but I know the likeliness of me running into anything supernatural is low. I do carry a maglight which is a heavy duty flashlight that doubles as a weapon if need be. I'm also constantly planning an escape route, but that's more for if I saw a chemical plant worker or cop coming my way.

Lack of anything particularly dirty, like blood, fresh animal corpses, etc. definitely confirms the tumblr witch theory. Wouldn't want any nasty viscera getting under their dollar store Halloween themed nails. That aside, nice pics OP, looks like a fun excursion.

Eh, looks like someone actually put real work into what they did. And there are no pentagrams, or red paint all over the alter. My vote goes to "Ritual done by someone who actually believes in what they did." Not edgy teens.

I'd leave it alone though. Not because of spooky curses, but because it's a huge dick move to fuck with someone's religious stuff, if it isn't hurting anyone.

i'd bet that the stronger the belief, the stronger the effects. the more effort and intention you put into your ritual the better. of course, you can craft your own rituals so you don't need human/animal bones, blood, expensive bullshit or lots of time so what's the harm?
