Okay, /x/, I need your help.

Someone posted this QR code with no text in some thread and I decided to scan it.

It contained a GPG signed message, with and Abash cipher.

Ralph Waldo Emerson says: "Ne te quaesiveris extra" (Do not look for your self outside"

some ##:## format things, 1-4, I'm assuming reference to religious text.

then Julius Caesar says: "wqmm//f.fjdr.zlj/JeqWulx.gmd"

then a GPG signature, i'd appreciate some help figuring the rest of this out.

I scanned it and it said it wasn't a real QR code.

ralph waldo emerson says ne te quaesiveris extra
julius caesar says eqqm://f.fjdro.zlj/jeqwuix

The second one is obviously caesar cipher, dunno about first

"Do not seek for things outside of yourself"
This is... uh, kinda cool?
>>
>>17622047
It's not a ceasar, it might be a vigenere. (it's obviously an imgur link though)
>>
>>17622074
The cipher program may have made the URL all lowercase, which would make it not work. There are 127 other possible combinaitons of upper and lowercase letters. I don't know if there's a fast way to try them all

Just had to capitalize the letters in the correct places, otherwise it was just ROT3

"Contra vim mortis non crescit salvia in hortis" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contra_vim_mortis_non_crescit_herba_in_hortis it's missing "non" though.

"No herb grows in the gardens against the power of death"

Is this the tree of life? Some magical reviving plant?
>>
>>17622218
The quote translates to "Against power of death Sage grows in the garden", otherwise no idea.
>>
>>17622227
You're thinking of "Contra vim mortis non crescit herba in hortis".
>>
>>17622236
No, they mean the same thing, except one says "herb" the other says "sage"
>>
>>17622236
>>17622225
Yeah, i fucked up.
Maybe the "non" was purposely omitted.
So, in this "garden" there is a tree who can give life.
"Garden"... "Life"...
Guys, maybe the verses are from the Bible, genesis.
>>
>>17622251
No, they are quite literally opposites. One says "There isn't an herb such that it grants immortality" the one in the image says there does exist such a "salvia" which can be translated as "herb" or "healer" depending on the context.
>>
Copying the verses here, maybe we can look them up online.

... also, before the signature, there are some weird characters. Anyone knows what are these?

Fuck, I wasted all that time writing a program that generates all possible combinations of upper and lowercase characters for a given string, all for nothing.

Oh well, here it is anyway:

Oh, don't worry, maybe your time wasn't wasted. Let's see how this thing evolves.

I mean... the position of the capitalized letters was given in the original text

It's hebrew for Atbash which is the cipher I used to translate the Caesar and Ralph says quotes.

op here
>>
>>17622233
OP

Because it translates to "Against the power of death sage grows in the garden" do you think the important bit is "sage" and it has possible meaning of a sage as a wise person or possibly the significance is this garden which seems to grant a sort of immortality? Against the power of death, so growth is possible despite death's influence in this garden.

There are verses, so maybe an allusion to the Garden of Eden?

These verses are probably a poem by Emerson; find poems with 4 stanzas
>>
Ok, here's a proposition:

The numbers 1 to 4 denote the four solution words, with three, five, four, and three letters respectively.

The numbers in the left column are the indices in some Emerson poem, and those in the right column are the indices of the letters in those words.

Can't find an appropriate poem though.
