I found it funny last thread that all these people thinking that a bunch of people believing in something somehow makes it real based purely out of human design, yet they'll scoff at the nature of the abrahamic gods for instance.

Sure people used the churches of the times to extort money and turn their people into sheep, but the premise of a bunch of people believing in something is there, does that make the abrahamic gods true? Just some random thoughts.

Now let's say Echs was deified. What would it do with its power? I would imagine Echs would be a revealer of truths and a solver of puzzles. Echs would encourage its worshipers to be mistrustful of outsiders, perhaps even of one another. It would will the faithful to subvert and misguide nonbelievers, to wield enigma and confusion like weapons. In turn, Echs would be pleased by its followers uncovering something new, solving some riddle. This is how one pays respect to Echs--not through some mundane sacrifice or offering, but in the acquisition of new knowledge or the solving of some puzzle. Even something as trivial as looking up some factoid or doing a sudoku as tribute would be pleasing to Echs.

Let's go back to Echs as /x/ the human. Echs would probably be the person you call when you're looking for some kind of answer or cryptic information. Or maybe you want some suggestions of spooky shit to read or watch. Maybe you think there's some sort of paranormal presence in your house and you want to know how to deal with it.

So let's deify Echs again. Granted the powers of a god, how do the benefits of being friends with Echs scale up? I'd think Echs would be the deity you pay tribute to when you want to reveal truths about the world around you, and the events and people in it. Echs would give you guidance, perhaps in dreams but especially in nightmares, for it communicates through the otherworldly and the terrifying. Echs would be the deity to call on when you need to overcome something or someone, and would impart the knowledge and courage in you to do so. It would help you solve your own personal mysteries, and arm you with the fears of those who would oppose you.

It's also representative of the number 4, which is the number of quadrants an X divides a space into. The number 4 is present in all kinds of paranormal shit (the four directions, the four elements, four dimensions, the four archetypes, the four suits of a tarot deck). Perhaps the number 4 or numbers divisible by 4 are "lucky" to Echs.

I would not recommend hiding your sigil in another gods picture/relic/etc unless you want that gods attributes to your own god.

Example: I hide the sigil on a statue of Thor that is actually used, then sure my god will get more energy and grow by the people worshiping thor but as the followers of Thor pray they also think of Thor which is a strong, impulsive, not the brightest kind of guy.
