It really depends on the unique history and placement of the house, not necessarily just its age. For example, I live in a house that's at least a century old at the moment, yet I have experienced absolutely zero /x-related phenomenon. And I try to keep a very open mind as well. I even went out to the the 100+ year old barn behind my house (I live on the border between city and farmland) and intentionally called for any indwelling spirits to manifest themselves, to give me something - but nada. However, the house has become a bit more active since there's been talk about it being sold (and probably demolished to expand the suburb northward)...

I had a dog in that house too something weird he would do was bark at the corner of the living room and growl at it.

My couch was a sectional and he would stand up on the corner edge and bark, bark, bark at it.

That was pretty early on, I think he might have sensed something I didn't.

More often than not my brain "forces" horrible looking, terrifying images and faces on me despite my best efforts to stop them. I close my eyes and it's all I can see or all I can think about. Completely out of the blue too, I'll be sipping coffee playing with my cat and these images will be forced into my mind.
