medfag here. i clean dead old people like once a week. Toss em arounds side to side to clean their backs, butts, groins etc. And dress them up nicely.

It might sound like a horrible way we clean dead bodies but once you've seen over 100 dead bodies it becomes routine.

It's nothing special about dead people. Sure, it's creepy the first time you see a dead body and touching a dead body is weird. But it's just an empty shell of nothing. Stop making a big case out of it.
>>

I did notice the clothing change, which shows that the last few pictures were probably longer than after that claim.

Anyone ever smelled death before? Not talking about the gross stuff like expulsion of waste, but there is that strange sweet smell.

My mother slowly died in a hospice, I was alone with her the moment she died.

There is something disturbing and strange watching someone take each breath before their last. Each breath you wonder if this is the last one and you just want it fucking over with, but you don't want them gone.

I also felt no morbid attachment to the body. The spirit is gone, why obsess? I NOPED the fuck out of the room and hospice the moment the coroner arrived to pick up her body.

They also wheeled all the elderly and hospice patients out of the hallway when wheeling my mother out. I wonder if those people have the capacity to understand what is going on each time they are moved out of the hallway?

A lot of people touch corpses on a daily bases, some of the most touching moments in my life was handling death as a person who grew up on a farm.

I've experienced a loved one die in front of me. All the life is drained from the body. It's amazing how slackened the body becomes within a minute of death. I think just seeing that really helped me get over her death. Her body just looked like a poor imitation of her real living self. From there I was more than ready to let go. That visual does help people cope I think. Our bodies are amazing enough to life as long as they do but everything must pass.

I dont get it - Why are people crying over pictures of a dead guy? How is it even remotely "disrespectful"?
>>
>>17270964
I know what you mean about the body not feeling like "them" anymore. My dad died in 2013 and my family stood around the bedside as he took his last breath. After he passed away my sister commented how it didn't even seem like my dad anymore. Like the essence of my dad just vanished. The body turns into this waxy texture that doesn't even feel real. I know it's cliche and can be explained by the lack of blood being pushed throughout the arteries, organs, veins, etc. But you can definitely "feel" when they've passed away.
>>
>>17274826
Because he's dead and cannot consent to pictures?

when i was 17 and my brother died, my mom woke up that day and instantly knew something was wrong. he didnt live with us and he wasnt sick at all. the whole day she paced around and felt sick and worried. she made my dad go to my brothers house because he wasnt answering his phone and he was dead. it was pretty fucked up.

i hope none of your parents ever experience the pain of having a dead child, i could deal with the sorrow i felt but seeing my mom lose her mind is the worst thing that has ever happened to me

As a kid, my grandma was dying of cancer in her bed. She never let on how bad it hurt. My other grandma died 2 years ago. She had forgotten how to speak english due to dementia so I took japanese in college so I could talk to her a bit. She died the day before I went back to my hometown to see her.

were you beaten or molested as a kid?

I had that problem as a child. I only did it with certain animals, specifically my guinea pigs (I never did it to any other pets, I loved my other pets, it was something about the guinea pigs)

I would always feel extreme guilt later on. I know I'm not a sociopath, I'm an EXTREMELY emotional person, to this day I feel so so sad about it.

Looking back, I think it was a way to take power over something I had no control of, my dad beat me, but never my brother who would do the same things that I would get beaten for and I had anger and sort of repeated the abuse onto something that was smaller than me.

desu I still get that feeling that I want to, after I was assaulted and developed anxiety 3 years ago I sort of craved wanting to take my anger out on something smaller, but felt immediate guilt and pushed it out of my head seconds later.

I've had a therapist tell me that's a normal reaction for children in abusive homes, or who have been molested or raped to 'repeat' or wasn't to take it out on an animal that can't fight back like they couldn't.

Theres probably something wrong with you or you have repressed memories your processing subconsciously if you did it now though. You are an adult, you should know better now, you are an animals entire world, it's sick and wrong to make their life a hellish torture no matter what, and if you don't have control over this you need to get yourself checked out.

It's not that morbid, I would equate this to how they use to take portraits with dead family members back in the late 1800's and early 1900's.
