Has Tsoukalos actually visited /x/? Why does this board love an obvious hack?

Idk about Tsoukalos, just seems like a gimmick character for H channel to sell more commercials to me, but there are many others who I suspect greatly of shilling their shit all over this site (not just /x/).
Take, for instance, David Paulides (great example). Several threads a week are made specifically to promote his books. Take it however you like, but you have to admit, those threads exist with the express purpose of promoting his books. Many threads are even hijacked when something is semi-related to his subject (which is broad as fuck), and any of it is conveniently given a link to his website where "it's way cheaper than anywhere else I'm shilling my book! I swear! Those guys on amazon who sell my book for $60 are fucking crooks, buy it from me for the low price of $25!"
I'm not entirely sure if the whole thing is just basement dwellers who have drank the koolaid and have nothing better to do than promote a book they get no proceeds from, but it certainly does seem like Paulides is samefagging on here... quite a lot. The posters who promote/defend him tend to be very aggressive and unreasonable (often employing strawman arguments), and ALWAYS promote his book. It's never "oh, here's a free torrent/pdf link" or "oh, here's another source which is free that is very similar and backs his theories." Always pointing to his super reasonably priced books on his website, and the LOW PRICE OF $25.
I can't believe more on /x/ haven't picked up on this. I have seen conspiracies (popular even after years) crop up from much less, and having followed Paulides since his first book release it actually does rustle my jimmies a bit that you guys still buy his shit.

God damnit, took the bait... again...

You must admit though, for the quality of the product $25 is beyond reasonable. What else are you going to spend that Christmas money on, anon?

Yeah that sucks you can't pirate them. I'm interested in the one about urban disappearances but there's nothing on torrentz or anywhere else. Someone scan it pls

maybe there's more like me that don't care about Mr. Paulides any more then about any other purely comercial oriented pen holder.
who should our mascot be?

Not /x/tan? If not, pic related would be an excellent choice.
