The first recorded video footage of Green Boots was filmed on 21 May 2001 by French climber Pierre Paperon. In the video, Green Boots is shown lying on his right side, facing away from the summit. According to Paperon, sherpas told him that it was the body of a Chinese mountaineer who had attempted the climb six months earlier.[12]

In later years, the body could be seen lying on its left side, facing the direction of the summit.[10]

However, since 2014, the body has been missing.[3]

So strange since I was just reading about Everest, bodies on the mountain and green boots.

I read that a lot of bodies get moved from the winds and that there used to be a guy in green boots cave who got moved by the wind a long distance away where he rests now.

A lot of sherpas tie down bodies too, to keep them from moving.

To a mountaneer the mountain is a propier burial. The bodies are left around, cuz is too dangerous trying to make them down. Other climbers may die. From a certain high, each man is on his own, all claimbers know that helping a friend in distress may cost your life.

Was watching some show about Mt. Everest where they passed some of the bodies. What struck me was that it looked like you wouldn't have to drag any of the corpses too far and there was a long, long slide down to who knows where. Fuck, that's what I'd do with them, shove them down a slope for one last wild toboggan ride to hell.
