Kids get sold into sex rings quit often. There was a case with Shaniya Davis that comes to mind where her mom sold her and the buyer killed the girl because I guess the police were on to them. I'm pretty sure a similar thing happened with this case. Nothing too weird or bizarre, but because of the people involved it probably went to high up that they didn't want to reveal that aspect of it.

Her parents gave her sleep meds that were too strong because she (Madeleine) wouldn't sleep at night and tended to wander around.

so they pick her up, put her in the trunk and dump her somewhere.

This is only my pet theory, but I honestly think that it's more a case of one of the parents accidentally od'd her. There's a lot of talk of Maddie being hyperactive/"adhd"/problematic "didn't sleep" and they likely had drugged her, both the parents are GP's - Brit general, non-serious/family doctors and I'm pretty sure there was a paper trail to them having sedatives. It also explains her being in the boot of the car and their seriously fucking odd behaviour and non-cooperation with the police and over-marketing/cooperation with the press.

They've made a fucking fortune out of this :/
