Hiking back to the ATV now. Will come back tomorrow and get more pics and what not, if anyone's interested. There's also an old well (I think)
The trail

make sure no spooky cultist is following you from the distance op
Where are you, like country/state? In VA we have a few places like those, they're spots where old colonial/ante-bellum houses burned and were never reclaimed, only the brick fireplace(s) remained.
Maybe you'll find something spoopy around there.
>>16944517
So far, no spoopies. Only weird thing is the evidence of fire. I mean, this place is a looooong way out there
>>16944524
Rural south east
>>16944537
Maybe you'll find the ghosts of a Southern family burned in the Civil War, vengeful for damnyankee blood.
>>16944454
This shit is extremely common. Its just old houses.
Why are you posting this on the paranormal board
I'd probably stop and take a photo of it using glorious 120 film framed to 6x7. Then I would take a shit in the chimney and leave.
OP's picture and claim of location >>16944537 remind me of the spot where the original Evil Dead was filmed. All that now stands is the brick chimney, same type of deal.

Welp, looks the adults are home.
Partys over kids.
>>16944616
You telling me that's a house? Or that it's a part of a house that collapsed?
You found the fireplace Rolf built for the Urban Rangers
>>16945497
First thing I thought too
high five
Live in georgia and work in construction
I see those all the time
old wooden houses rot and tumble down over time, wood disintegrated into the ground but the chimney stays
pretty cool I guess
there's way too many abandoned houses here in the countryside...I've explored a few of them
mostly old mason jars and junk
never found anything cool

I live in New England, a lot of the wooded area was farmland so you'll occasionally be "deep" in the woods and find stone walls and such.
Make a fire??
>>16944454
As >>16944505 said it really seems to be an old chimney. Pretty crazy that there is no foundation or old logs left around it though.
Well done on getting out and getting some media for /x/! Any other spooky things you know of around there?
start digging motherfucker
you may find a basement with crazy shit down there
>>16945523
I live in Georgia too. Im thinking "Its...an old chimney...."
>>16944492
SOMEBODY MADE A FIRE IN A FIREPLACE????
2000spookszy3Muah!
>>16944454
Looks like the old cabin must have burned down, leaving only that chimney

>>16945523
>>16946011
sup GA fags, GA fag here.
seen a few of these before. you would think someone would have realized how long bricks last vs untreated wood and built the whole house out of bricks back then, but i assume that cost too much.
>>16946114
old school cement cap wells are awesome. as a kid i would get bored at my grandparents place and throw rocks in the well, see how long it took for them to hit the bottom.
pretty fucking long, fall in and you're fucked for real.
