theres so much trespassing into chernobyl and all but i havnt seen anyone go into reactor 4 itself. just watched people base jump off of 'chernobyl 2' so i feel surely people have atleast tried to get into the reactor. anyone have pics or anything?
>>
>>16938074
im pretty sure theres a corner you turn to get to it and instantly die from rad exposure
>>
http://chnpp.gov.ua/en/construction-online

Don't think it is all that easy to get into...
>>
>>16938167
P sure it's within a few hours, not instantly

maybe it's the monolith, I love imagining that there's some benign intelligent entity inhabiting reactor 4 but I've just played too much STALKER
>>
>>16938316
nah, there are spots where you can get a lethal dose within minutes, though you'll only puke and get sick but won't die until days later
>>
Shit i mean i would love to see a picture of someone who can atleast see the Plant from the outskirts. like 'oh we trekked all the way in, this is about as close as we can get without being spotted etc.' insert : picture of distant nuclear reactor and some eastern european dude smiling
>>
>going into Reactor 4
Holy shit I haven't laughed so hard in weeks
>>
>>16939366
come on you dont think some idiot kid with something to prove would try to get in, disregarding everything hes ever been told. i can envision here in america i can envision it there, stupidity knows no bounds. thats part of why i want to see any images relating.
>>
>>16938321
if there was something living in there, I can't imagine it would be benign.
>>
>>16939466
As far as I know, there are images possibly taken by the liquidators, but they are distorted by how powerful the radiation was and most of them got sick with acute radiation poisoning almost instantly.

haha i had just stopped watching all her videos then copypastad your link right back to where i was. good stuff. even she is not allowed into reactor 4. it is pretty walled off because of ongoing construction but i know at one point in time it wasnt...

Here's a pic of the infamous Elephant's foot.

The main spillage from the reactor itself, image was taken by placing mirrors which gave a view of the reactor.

Closest image you'll ver see of the startingpoint of the catastrophy.

>>
>>16938074
Why is Chernobyl paranormal? Isn't this really /sci/-tier?
>>
>>16942397
I suppose if you put on some heavy lead suit all over your whole body, and ran in there really fast and sat on it, youd most likely still die in a minute or so. It would be too dangerous to retrive your corpse so you would be a legendary dead guy and your body would stay in there/get covered by tons of earth and concrete over hundreds of years.
Do it.
>>
What would death be like?

>>16942495

Guards and the fact that they've got it locked up pretty tight persuade anyone who isn't afraid of still serious radiation. The lighter spots running along the bottom of this photo is radiation itself being captured by the shot.
>>
>theres so much trespassing into chernobyl
>tresspassing
There's legit tourist tours that take you to pripyat and near the NPP.
>>
>>16942258
>>16942397
Didn't they try to retrieve samples of the elephant's foot by shooting at it with an AK-47?
>>
>>16943271
That's the most slav thing I've ever read, comrade
>>
>>16940688
No, you have to apply for permission and then pass through road blocks. It sounds more sinister than it is.

>>16938074
I think all the truly gnarly places in Chernobyl are encased in that giant concrete sarcophagus. Except for the hospital basement, that is.
>>
>>16943260

Yeah, and? There's still trespassing, what's your fucking point?
>>
>>16943458
>Except for the hospital basement
Is the hospital basement in the power plant? Why is it so gnarly? Is it because they took all the radiation poisoned people there and thats why it has so much radiation?

>>16943477
Its hardly tresspassing if you drive a fucking tour bus through a checkpoint.

I'd say it's pretty /x/ tier
>>
>>16943499
>>16943537
the fact that the world actually ended somewhere
>>
>>16943482
I think it's in the town proper, not the power plant. It's gnarly because of the extremely high radiation levels. That's where they treated the first responders as they died from radiation poisoning. Everything down there has, in effect, been in indirect contact with the heart of a collapsed nuclear reactor. I think that safe dive time, even with modern radiation gear, is limited to 15 minutes and under.

As for trespassing, you can sneak past the guard stations. People still live in the area and not every approach is blocked. However, because of the quirky nature of fallout drift you can't be sure if you're in a heavily contaminated area until your meter starts screaming. Many intelligence services and eco watch groups regularly publish fallout maps, but again contamination drift is tricky.

Dross is the latinoamerican "Fred". Thank god i don't follow meme youtubers.
>>
>>16942258
good stuff, thanks for posting.

>>16943168
my logic exactly. people do krokodil over there or whatever its called. im baffled that no one has just gone into the reactor searching for death. not even a case of finding a body of someone down there who snuck in or something?

>>16943482
do a lil research man. theres a whole community or have been entering the zone for years undetected. i havnt even read about people who got caught crossing into the zone, id be interested in that!

Is "The Zone of Alienation" not an incredible term?

The fungi appear to use melanin, a chemical found in human skin as well

So it's nigger skin!?!?
>>
>>16944234
Imagine, there’s fallout from a nuclear accident and what do the guys in suits do? They show up, spray mushroom spores over everything, and a few weeks later the mushrooms are harvested and disposed of while the contaminated area is now radiation free.

Jim! We need more niggers!
>>
>>16938167
The elephants foot will give you a lethal dose in a minute and kill you within an hour
>>
>>16939168
What's the point of sneaking in if you can legally go for a trip there?
>>
>>16943271
Why shoot at it, comrade? Me and Ivan go there and have a vodka picnic every year! We can send you a message bear with elephant foot next week if you want!
