Some OC straight from my Facebook feed.
I was raised in the Southern Baptist Church but have since migrated toward a more gnostic orientation. I'm a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and love eastern philosophy and learning about alchemy. I'm not your typical Christian, but still identify with the faith in many ways. Because of this my social feeds are full of a lot of extremely orthodox and / or superstitious people.
Personally, I don't think that demons or spirits manifest in this way; taking over someone's body in broad daylight in the midst of a ritual with people all around. Certainly not in any shape or form that could be captured through a photograph. It's a pretty nice getup, though.
What are yall's thoughts or experiences with ritual summoning or manifestations?

What a long bullshit filled lead-in just to ask one of /x/'s most common questions.

You mad, bro?
I've posted here for years and helped a lot of people. It's a slow day, so I thought I'd post, if nothing else for a creepy picture that I've never seen before. I suppose I could have said, "Creepy picture thread, post OC if you've got it," because /x/ never sees those right?
Pardon me for trying to actually start a conversation. Why don't you pull the stick out of your ass and loosen up. Or don't; I appreciate the bumps either way. ;)

>still pretending to be not rakedogged
Shame... Could have been an interesting thread about pagan rituals and its goals vs. Masonic rituals and its goals. Guess I'll try again during school hours.

Mr. Self-important has his feelings hurt when people don't beg him to share his wisdom.
And he came here all the way from Facebook too.

"Oh boy that looks real must be real, no way masks can cover the mouth and go from over the head to down the neck!"
Why do I even bother?

We banish what is wrong and invoke what is right. Order for order, chaos for chaos. Evil things fight hard not to leave. Good things love to step in. An ignorant man will not know right from wrong. Gas the Kikes, race war now.

fuck off /pol/

Trying pretty hard there, huh?
Did I say anything about asking for advice?
I'd never help a mason.
>>16930002
Why's that, out of curiosity?
>>16930011
Not him, but you should be able to help yourself. That's part of Masonry.

Why the hell are yall talking like I asked for advice? Let's try this again. I thought an interesting topic could evolve naturally but it's clear that was not meant to be.
ITT we discuss the PURPOSE of ritual from different traditions. Why is ritual a powerful tool in the first place, and how is it used differently by the OTO, Wiccans, Masons or magicians in general? To some degree, actually to a large degree, Alchemists practice ritualistic work as well.
Any thoughts on rituals from theorists or stories from practitioners?
