Hey /x/, need help with a symbol. What's this shit mean? It's in a friend's World of Darkness campaign, and I'm tasked with doing out of game research.
So far i've found stuff on circles, and there's the classical symbol of earth there in the center.
But are there any other ideas? Spooky shit surrounds this.

It's a symbol for homosexual anal sex.
>Think about it
>It's in a friend's World of Darkness campaign,
It's in a video game but rather than ask about in on the video game board you came here? >>>/vg/
>I'm tasked with doing out of game research.
Too funny, I get it now. They all said, "Let's send the faggot on a fool's errand so we can go back to have a good time."

Tabletop. Where the world is our world.

as far as World of Darkness lore goes, it appears to be similar to both the Gargoyle clan symbol from Vampire, and also looks like a poorly drawn fragment of the Virtual Adepts symbol. As far as out of game, it could be a modified alchemical symbol. I've never encountered that one before, but there's a plethora of sources available for you to try and find it.

Thank you very much.

Any info on the campaign? My previous post is very broad. If I had more details I might be able to get a better answer. What are you playing and where did you find it? What city is it? What have you encountered so far. I'm a long time GM, and I've done similar things before. If I can get into your GM's head a bit I might have a better answer.

We're in chicago. Very average guys, have come together as a small rag-tag P.I. agency. We were looking at an abandoned hotel where gunshots and screams were heard, with nothing found by police. An anonymous benefactor is having us check it out. We found a room that was locked, and covered in caked ashes. Inly found a bone fragment and a fang that wasnt identified. Then we were attacked by a regenerating monster with a vertical maw. These symbols were on the wall underneath the ash.
As far as our characters are concerned, we've never really encountered paranormal shit / never believed in it.

Ahh, I see. I think I get where your GM is coming from, but I won't go into that for obvious reasons ;) I would suggest looking into alchemical symbols. You won't get a strait answer, as with any good investigation game, but you'll find enough to lead you to your next. I'm curious as to what happens as this goes on. Think you'll be back on here or /tg to keep the story updated? The curiosity is killing me.
