Does the "mind-game" or "keikaku' genre exist outside of anime?
It doesn't have to be centered around gambling. I just love anything that involves complex strategies, game theory, psychology and perhaps cheating. Best examples of what I mean would be Kaiji, Liar Game and One Outs. Unfortunately, I have never seen anything of the sort outside of anime; save for perhaps some stuff by Derren Brown, a British game show called Golden Balls and this one Korean game show that basically ripped off the first game from Kaiji.
Does any one know any content in any medium which will satisfy my desire for mind-games?
Read some manga anon.

Yes, my friend, I've read just about everything FKMT has to offer. I am looking to expand outside of anime/manga however.
You might look at shows on the Xanatos Gambit and Xanatos Speed Chess trope pages.

Sherlock
Yes, the Benedict Cumberbatch version.

Sherlock is good for the most part but it occasionally slips into the bullshit territory. Still a good suggestion.
