Amazon reviews say "maybe". It doesn't claim to do 144Hz, so you can hardly return it for not doing what it doesn't say it can do. It is the best adapter so far, but reviews say it is unreliable.

Your best option is still to sell your 480 and buy a 480 that does have a DVI port.

It's certainly an active dual-link adapter, so it will certainly be an improvement over some of the shit you were recommended last time.

Either the one in OP or that one should work. I've not personally tried either, but they're both the correct thing, and both have at least one review that says they do 144Hz.

Some advice: don't power it off a USB port, power it off a phone charger. This way the adapter will definitely be booted and ready before the PC tries to detect its monitors.
