you're doing it wrong op
grab a coffee, find a spot to work for a few hours, and do 150 boring, unoriginal, low-effort entries as fast as you possibly can
play vidya or watch anime for a while afterwards to celebrate your accomplishment
then bring the shitty journal around with you and work on improving it between classes, on bus, ask the teacher for feedback, etc., but never working on it at home because doing homework at home is a sucker's game
focus on polishing the entries at the start, end, and middle, which are the only ones that the teacher is probably actually going to check while grading
then the night before everything's due while all the other people are panicking trying to write their last 50, re-add your 5 favorite quotes as a bonus page of your "favorites", as a summary at the start, to show the teacher how deeply you were thinking about the book.
