I took that bit seriously. If there is a field of peerless expertise in contemporary Japanese culture, it is definitely in their aptitude, ability and will to create experimental music.

Honestly, We here in West are competing on who can make the best mainstream music. The Japanese are competing on who can make the best experimental music that appeals to the mainstream. No joke.

There are real single gems in composition, simply just serving as an opening of an utterly mediocre anime no one recommends.
