5.6k mmr before I took an 8 months break, 5 of them spent playing LoL, so I fell instantly down to 4.6k, but I'm climbing pretty fast back up, and I'm already back to my old "hook skill level" so to say, I mean, I no longer miss easy hooks like I did when I first came back from my break

Thanks senpai, just gotta analyze more your plays, you gotta breath the dota, not just play it. When I hook people when they're trying to dodge, I have a literal picture of the scenario in my mind as if I had already seen it happen before, and twitch-reflex-aim the hook at the right direction and land the hook like that, it works relatively often. Whenever I'm about to do something stupid, I have a vivid image of the possible scenario outcome in my head, that tells me I shouldn't do it; like sitting behind the top lane trees, trying to gank an AM rubick lane while having a relatively weak offlaner at that point in the laning phase, had that one happen some games ago, I had a really vivid image of Rubick getting hit by my hook, then lifting me and throwing me at the trees between the tower and the jungle, and then AM walking up to me the very instant I hooked Rubick, and both of them chasing me down until I died, I mean, on top of getting hit by the tower at least once; I didn't throw that hook, I just backed off and went somewhere else instead

Dota's mostly a thinking game. When I'm distracted, or just do not get that mind-image of the possible outcomes before doing something retarded, that's when the 2k mmr stupid shit happens and you get called "boosted shitter" by other people, makes me feel sad I let it happen, but it's a good learning experience too
