So basically I have a problem with my computer's monitor.
Usually, I put my computer in sleep mode, and recently when it "wakes up" my monitor started going nuts. It turns on for a split second (and you can see the desktop), then turns off for like 2 seconds (this repeats for an indefinite/infinite amount of times). This is all accompanied by an electric noise right before monitor tries to turn on.
This doesn't seem to happen when I turn off and on my PC normally (no sleep mode).
Also I noticed that the high pitched noise occurs when I turn on my monitor by pressing the power button (on the monitor).
Tried it with HDMI and VGA, same thing.
Can the problem be the power adapter or is my monitor dying?
Monitor will most likely have an inbuilt power brick, which is prob fucked. Mayb try a different power cable/wall socket to test. If that doesn't give u any definitive results, test on another PC.
can be the displays backlight inverter, but it can also be the graphics card drivers acting up on wake (im betting on the latter since this only happens after sleep)
do as >>365334 said and test the screen on another pc, if it behave normally after waking up then try another graphic card drivers version

Thanks for the help.
Also I just checked, the sleep mode didn't matter. I turned it off and on normally and it did the same thing.
Tested another (smaller) monitor, everything works fine.
Different sockets didn't matter.
Will try to get another power brick, though I have no idea where to find one.
