Looking for adventure anime based around Ancient China. Any recs?
Please recommend only series that have finished airing and end conclusively - there's no sequel in the works I'd have to wait for, and no manga is required to be read to get the entirety of the story.
Thanks in advance.

Juuni Kokuki
Seirei no Moribito (The anime ends conclusively as a self-contained story, however there are 11 novels still unadapted. The Shin-Yogo Empire is vaguely Nara+Goryeo+Tang inspired, Kanbal is Tibet-Qinghai-ish methinks)

I was hoping more for anime actually set in China, but I guess this will do. Thanks.

Actually in China? Kingdom

That was the first anime I researched. It'd be perfect for what I'm looking for right now if it had a conclusive ending. Unfortunately, it doesn't and it's one of the "fuck you, go read the manga" series.
Also, I found another anime that fits - Souten Kouro. Can anyone tell me whether or not it ends conclusively?
SD Gundam Romance of The Three Kingdoms. If you want to count Hong Kong then Aquarion Evol.

Not really looking for mecha shows. Thanks, though.

SD Gundam I just mentioned literally takes place in ancient China and even uses mystical swords and stuff.

So it's a show where if you threw the gundams out it wouldn't have made any difference, but they made it about gundams for the lulz?

Pretty much. Just three kingdoms with gundam looks.

I'll give it a shot, then. Thanks for the suggestion.
