My pc keeps freezing when running games and any other programs
Specs are
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Intel Core i7 6800K @ 3.40GHz
16.0GB DDR
MSI X99A RAIDER (MS-7885)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950
And two Hardrives at around 500 gb each
I've tried clearing space on my hard drives
Turning off Intel Turbo Boost
Running Windows Memory Diagnostic
My temperatures on my cpu, and gpu are under 40 c when running games, such as WoW
And I've tried turning settings all the way down, and disabling/enabling Vsync on WoW
After all of this the game runs at around 120 fps but constantly freezes every time I try to interact with something, sometimes leading to the program even showing a not responding error, then returning back to the game. This is not only limited to this game though, I have the same problem whilst running programs such as windows explorer. Any help is appreciated thank you very much.

What the fuck, OP?

Anyway, it sounds like it's dying when it tries to access content that isn't already in memory, which implies a storage lockup.
Check your SATA cables, and do a full read test on both disks.

Are you saying that I should get a new gpu? Because It's worked perfectly fine up until I got the new CPU.

Really don't know what I should be looking for because I don't know much about hard drives, but does this all look good?

check ram using memtest

Ok I will try this out

I'm saying that CPU is utterly wasted, and the only reason you'd build a computer like that is if you were using it for Eclipse or Visual Studio.
The 950 is a terrible card, and it's probably possible to build a core2 Quad that games better than your computer.
I guess the question was "what on earth were you thinking assembling that?".

Change out the SATA cable(s).
It's an intermittent fault, so obviously it's going to say it's all good when it's not having a fault.
