I made some friends in Twitch streams. I only follow two people on there, but if the streamers have humor you like the followers will probably too.
I wasn't friends with them for long too, but I threw a IRL friend of mine in the chat too and she got a relationship out of it.

There was also a message board I used to post a lot on and made some friends, but the company pulled the plug so I don't know of my friends on there are still alive.

Discord is a great place for making online friends. Just find a community that you're okay with and join their discord (provided they have one).
