Not many anime get dubbed. Fewer are dubbed well. Even fewer fit into that catagory.

Learn to accept subs and you'll have a much easier time finding good anime.

shounen is referring to the people watching it, not the main characters. Shounen is aimed at young males, Seinen at older males.

Spice and Wolf should bfit the bill. I think I heard it has an okay dub, not sure.

Maybe Drifters. MC is around 30, the humour is very dark, however it is much more action focused than Mushishi, so the laid back aspect falls flat.
I just checked the dub, it's alright.
