Hi there, I'm looking for a discreet device that can be used to send a signal to another device. Ideally it would be able to have a number of different settings (Signal A, B, C, D ETC) and be as fast as possible at relaying this.
Currently I am using a two mobile phones with buttons coded to automatically type 'A' or 'B' and then send this over Whatsapp. However there is a noticeable delay whilst the script runs, then the signal sent over to the receiving device.
I have considered modifying a car key to send a signal to a receiver but the range just isn't large enough, I'd be needing a range of at least 500m (The larger the better)
Does anyone have any ideas on what kind of devices could do this better? Bearing in mind that the sending device needs to be able to fit and be operated inside a trouser pocket.
