Hey so I bought a USB wifi adapter, pic related it's that one, and it's being fucky. Whenever I download anything, watch youtube, or play vidya online, it causes a bsod.
I've already done a million things it feels like. The dump files point to a driver which I made sure was updated and it still causes bsods. I checked for a bios update but there was none. I went through device manager and updated all the usb related drivers. I downgraded my os from Windows 10 to 7 with all the updates. I tried an Ethernet cord and that works fine.
At this point I'm guessing it's doa honestly.
Any suggestions?
Safe mode with networking helped it take longer to bsod but it still crashee
Ehrm... return it and try another brand?
I would try another brand. KOBETON sounds like Chinese garbage.
buy at least tp-link next time

Checked.
Also idk what that is the picture has unrelated text, the adapter is actually realtek. It's 4am so I've been running sfc, memtest, chkdsk, updates, etc....

realtek chip? use realtek driver

I am, I installed the program that came with it on a cd, which has the drivers. As far as I'm aware it's the latest version but I can't seem to find support for my device anywhere.
It's a realtek rtl8192eu, and the utility program says the ndis driver version is 1030.3.831.2015

This, or get a newer computer, or just use Ethernet if possible (especially when playing vidya, come on OP)

Once I move in a few months I'll be able to use Ethernet but I was just looking for a temporary solution.
