What is a decent gaming laptop that can run most games but that doesnt cost too much?
I'm thinking something around £500-700

Such a thing does not exist. Gaming laptops cost £1200 up. A 1060 and its RAM chips cost £300 on their own, and an i7 7600U costs £300; that would mean the entire rest of your hypothetical laptop would have to cost between £100 and £-100.
