I want to start watching anime but i dont what to watch I only

What's a good movie? I'm currently perpetually halfway through Serial Experiments Lain but I'm bored at the post-3-hour length of it. I liked Akira and Satoshi Kon movies; I would like Angel's Egg if it tried to make sense.
