Can anyone recommend me some surreal anime/videogames/novels/anything? I fucking love that shit. I mean stuff like Yume Nikki, the latter half of Life is Strange episode 5, Revolutionary Girl Utena, the psychological scenes from Neon Genesis Evangelion, etc. Just disconnected, unreality things that flip everything that you expect from the world on its head.

realized i probably should just say thanks for the suggestions so far, im looking into them
I've got some manga like that.
I'm reading Dead Demon's Dedededestruction and it's pretty surreal. Same author as Oyasumi Punpun, which is also pretty surreal.
also see
Homunculous
Alien Nine
Sekai Oni (kind of, lots of surreal artwork but not that hard to understand)
Mahou Shoujo of the End (although it's really just more of a gore-fest)

How dare you try to take your /m/ shitposting here. This is a nice board.

Still can't decide if I should watch this shit just to know how much of a troll this is.

The intent of that kind of picture is to make fun of how inconsistent and ridiculous power levels actually are in anime, to the point where it's pointless to talk about seriously. It is technically "correct" but in such a way that it doesn't really matter.

You should probably watch Macross Frontier first, to see if you like the director.
If you do, then totally check out Aquarion and AKB0048.

I tried watching that, but the singing pissed me off so much that I had to stop. Felt like watching Disney with robots.
Blame is an amazing surreal manga (also a movie on Netflix but not that great)
