Yahoo had a mass security breach a couple years back and made everyone change passwords because of it. It's possible and worth mentioning that someone else may have changed the password already for you to keep you locked out if you hadn't been using it for a long enough time (though I really wouldn't worry too much about that).

Actually they do have support but they are slow and incompetent to all but users who bought into their premium e-mail. Of course you can try them out at their tumblr, twitter, facebook accounts and tell them your plight.

But seriously, choose another e-mail service like google gmail or proton mail.
