I don't know if this is more appropriate for /g/ or /adv/, but going to try here first.
I have an ancient Dell ST2210b 22" monitor which is roughly 6-8 years old, with constant use since purchasing it. Recently the screen has been flickering/dimming and when turning the monitor on, a pink hue covers the screen for a few seconds before adjusting.
It's dying. I have a backup monitor just in case and plan to buy a new one next check, but I'm actually wondering if I can do some temporary fixes to this one to make it last even longer. Any suggestions or is it fucked?

the ccfl tubes are dying and its expected. one day it'll just turn off completely and you'll be without a monitor when you need it the most.

Figures. Hunk of metal at this point, then. Anything in here potentially salvageable for spare parts or should I chuck it out?

It sounds like damaged Electrolytic capacitors to me.
Simply open the monitor and replace them with news ones. Make sure they have the same capacitance and it should work.
