Can someone explain to me how to use uMatrix? Downloaded it since

forgot to mention, it's preventing videos from playing on FB/youtube and preventing 4chanX from working properly.

you shouldnt probably be using it if you dont know what it does, let alone how to use it

if you have ublock origin installed you can accomplish the same result (all you want to do it block some intrusive inlined thread adverts on here right?). click on the ublock origin icon, open the side panel using the domain/requests blocked header and block the third party advertiser domain by making the side column next to it look red (click on it, you can read more about it on the ublock origin documentation in its github repository)

i've previously narrowed those ads down, before, to some domain 4chan connects using websockets but i cant seem to recall where and what it was (i dont even have javascript execution turned on on most sites [using noscript though], including this one)

also, take everything posted on /g/ with a grain of salt, and immense grain of salt

mmm, seems like ubo doesnt list behind-the-scene websocket requests on the requests blocked side-panel

to the list of blocked requests works just fine tough
or you can block all third party connections made on 4chan by default while whitelisting some for google (captcha) and 4cdn (image/webm storage server)
just make sure to apply settings by clicking the yellow apply button or the padlock
