Alright, cunts, i need tips on deciding my portable studying auxiliary device. Seeing PDFs on my smartphone is a goddamn drag and i'd like to have access to 3d modeling like SolidWorks in the near future. Since i'm a good user i've already skimmed through the web and /g/ wiki, so a ThinkPad was obviously shilled into my head. Since i'm a masterracer i don't need it to run gaming shit, only my CAD choice.
Given this, is a ThinkPad too much for my needs? Can i get something lighter? Bang for buck is obviously a hindrance since i'm an uni student.

Thinkpad X.
If you do actual art, the tablet version's wacom screen is pretty damn cool.

Nah, i don't do art. It's for engineering 3d modeling only. I'm going with SolidWorks, probably.
All in all, i wonder if this thinkpad X has the graphic output i need. I'll google more.

It doesn't. Thermodynamics dictates that you can't have a 12mm laptop with 150W core logic.

Kek. You're bloody right. I got a test in 3 hours so i gave up googling for now. But i'm starting to wonder if i really have to do modeling at uni instead of using my masterrace. If so i just need something for wolframalpha, videos and PDFs.
