You have listed my museum. I didn't know that Tenshi no Tamago had that much of appreciation. The truth is it was back in a day basically forgotten after the first view. No one returned to it.
>Gauche the Cellist
Where I can find it in proper HD with proper sound?

>The truth is it was back in a day basically forgotten after the first view.
I don't understand this sentence at all.
As for Gauche I know animebytes has a torrent of it.

>I don't understand this sentence at all.
No one cared about it?
I saw it the first time during mid 90's in Japan during my deployment there. No one cared about it back then. I tried to find out more about it but no luck.
Back then there was no internet. All this hype about it came alive much much later. I think you kids are quite lucky.

Oh yeah, I heard that was the case. Though it really seems weird to me. It's so unique, weird, mysterious, atmospheric and immersive that I just can't imagine how people could brush it off. I showed it to a lot my irl friends and even those who don't watch anime were at least intrigued by it and would ask me what I think about the meaning etc.

>I just can't imagine how people could brush it off.
I couldn't back then.
My buddies just walked into our video room, took a look at it and then walked out because they saw nothing of interest. That was the environment. I was (and still am) able to follow Japanese shows in Japanese. Those ones who weren't (the majority of the unit) had no interest towards any Japanese speaking show.

It was forgotten the same as many experimental films are.
Belladonna too was practically a missing film until recent years.
Internet brings these things up. Angel's Egg is widely regarded as an important classic now in the more in-depth-to-the-medium anime circles.
>>319843
What are some other similar anime to those two? I mean experimental nad pre-2000.
>>319845
Animations that Tezuka himself made.
>>319846
You mean his experimental shorts like Jumping or Broken Down Film? Seen those, anything else you can recommend?
>>319848
Not me. I remember once seeing some list about animators that have done experimental shorts but I don't have it.
I'm sure you can dig up something if you look further than some myanimelist threads that are just going to list something like Shaft titles.
