Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge is very slice of life. It's mainly a comedy, but if you don't think it's fun from the start I don't recommend watching more of the show.
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is a show most people enjoy. It's also a comedy.
Yowamushi Pedal is also a show I recommend. I find it very cute and also gets pretty intense at times.

Not really high school setting but she probably will like Honey and Clover, Nodame Cantabile, and the Eccentric Family. She would probably like Natsume's Book of Friends (pic related) and Mushishi if she's the pious type.

Working!! is good, I watched it with my sister and we liked it. It's about mildly dysfunctional people working at a family restaurant
