The "district gods" are ridiculously powerful but have to remain neutral, although sometimes they can't help lending a hand.

Also one of my favorite shows ever because it's so cheerful and the characters are so sweet and original.

And the sexualization in the anime, though very prominent at parts, tends to be of a nature that doesn't degrade the characters too much, which somehow makes me happy. I wish it were even better in that regard though.

Also, while the theme, villains, and fighting scenes are often very stereotypical action shounen style, ultimately it manages not to be cringe-worthy to the least, at least in my opinion. It's pure fun.

He mostly watches them die, then avenges them. There's at least a dozen episodes where he could've intervened earlier, but waits for the bad guys to actually physically reach him before stepping in.
