How do I filter an annoying posting style?
There's an annoying poster on a board I frequent who replies while removing the >>
Is there a way to filter certain numbers that aren't proceeded with >>
Thanks
@308079
there is, you can add a regex pattern to filter comments with numbers larger than a certain amount (so "regular" comments with "12" or "69" in them dont get filtered)
something like
>[0-9]{6}
should work (although i might be wrong i dont even have js turned on in this god forsaken place)
gl
>:^)
308079
308144
damn, forgot a comma after that 6
>[0-9]{6,}
>:^)
__VVVVV__
>>308173<<
__/\/\/\/\/\/\__
it should filter any combination of digits with 6 or more characters. so 900000, 000001, and 654987321321 should match, but 324 should not
but im just now noticing that i completely forgot to not block legit quotes, so making it
>^[0-9]{6,}$
should fix it
also, and i shouldnt need to say this, dont include the initial meme arrow in the formula
>>308260
Thanks a lot!
>>308260
^[0-9]{6,}$
That's the part i need right? Doesn't seem to work
>>308300
looks like the filter doesnt play along quite right with regex
>/^[0-9]{6,}/
seems to work though
and yes, dont include the "quote mark"
>>308300
the $ represents the end of the line so this fails if there is anything after the number
308320 :^)
/me knows but somehow i cant get it to work (and it should work, or maybe im overlooking something)
guess op will have to hope no one writes anything after the "postnumber"
>>308320
Whoa thanks that works! If you do respond i won't be able to see it!
