The totem is a phallic symbol of godly attributes rooted on the ground; the same level where humans exist. A tall totem is a symbolic allegory of humans raping the heaven where the gods reside, therefore building totems is about asserting dominance over the gods. >gods as totems of fear
It's not about literal totems you cock-thirsty autist.
OP you can talk about how fear is rooted in the unknown and by giving form to human fears, we can try to make sense of them. For example, death and disease might be symbolized through a god of pestilence that works through creatures like rats and roaches. By giving form and domain to what terrorizes humans, they can try to associate the fear with something concrete on earth that they should avoid or defend against.

i am pretty sure there is more then one person out there happy to shove their opinion about totems and gods up your ...brain.
but do they worship totems or their gods ?
i do not think so.
all we have left around these subjects are watered down opinions from people who are way to deep into the subject matter.
if you are already headbanged by some simple questions about stuff we forgot ions ago just let it go.
totems? penis? gods? come on man
