I explicitly gave an example of a man who set up a charity for foster children - both boys and girls - and used his position running that charity to exclusively groom and rape numerous boys over a period of decades. The claim that Sandusky had no sexual preference for boys is belied by his actions.

There are likely a lot of adult men who just want to abuse their power for easy sex and don't care too much about the sex of the child as prepubescent children are all effeminate anyway, but in general I'm pretty sure pedos have sexual orientation.

I've been to pedo communities on Tor and saw them being divided based on attraction to female and male children.

As I said though, probably lots of men just think "a boy is fine too" because young boys have feminine features, so the statistic of supposedly homosexual pedophiles gets inflated.

That said, gay culture did have ties to pedophile culture during its earlier years, as far as I know. They often didn't try to hide it either. It was like "haha sexual freedom YOLO let's have sex with everything in sight" partly because they were being repressed for too long and partly because they didn't manage to deconstruct their patriarchy-induced macho socialization into sexually predatory attitude and when you mix that with "sexual freedom" ideals it blows up. Also see: the amounts of violence in pornography and prostitution. Porn isn't progressive; it upholds the conservative ideal of men's dominance.
