Put in new ram

Now cp does the power cycle, fans spin, lights come on, then turns off. repeats this until I stop it.
You need to fix the BIOS for your RAM

Bought 4 new sticks with a new motherboard.
Trouble shot a bit.
Have the sticks in the right spots
Tried all of them just one at a time in the first slot.
Still nothing. Old ram works fine.

Hey OP, new to the thread here, I'm no professional but I've build all of PCs myself and few of my friends. I also did 3 months internship at a computer hardware store. It's entirely possible that you got a bad stick, I had to return and replace some last year because it wouldn't work, the new lot of the same brand and model worked just fine. Have you tried your new stick in another computer/motherboard? Maybe check with a friend and see if it works in his computer, if it does then that eliminates the possibility of it being bad stick, otherwise you might try a dozen solutions without knowing the ram is faulty.

in my situation that's not really a possibility.
i have my old motherboard but i don't want to completely rebuild it on another motherboard just to test it. it happens with all 4 of them

Does it happen with your old RAM?
If so, you've dislodged something whilst installing.

no its doesnt. these are 4 brand new sticks and not one of them works
