Simoun's score is a mix of orchestra and synth and has a very 'old Europe' feel to it. There are a few contemporary-sounding tracks. Two soundtrack CDs were released and both are on torrents.

If you can find it, Sakura Wars (the tv show, not the games, dunno about the movie) has a very rich, bright, symphonic sound mixing European classical with Japanese traditional sounds. I can't find a single track from it on Youtube. If you want to try it I can put it on Mega.

The Kenshin OVAs are quite what I would call classical but they've got woodwinds, strings, percussion and some synth. At least as depressing as Kannazuki no Miko.
