Dear WSG.
In this worsheet I have to add a forumale in the D2 cell, which determines whether the number in th C2 cell is larger than 5. If it is, the D2 cell has to show ''BIGGER'' text, if not, then it has to show ''SMALLER.
I found out how to make such an logical argument in Excel, but not in Libre CALC.
How to, please.
I tried using
=IF(AND(C2=">5",D2="BIGGER"),IF(AND(C2="<5",D2=''SMALLER"")))
It did not work. :(
In E1 I typed in 5 in hopes to make this function work
=IF(C2=''>E1'',D2=''bigger''),IF(C2=''E1<'',C5=''smaller'')
But it dod not.

I tried this on Google spreadsheets and i works, and should basically be the same on excell
=if(C2>5,"BIGGER","SMALLER")

I updated the formula so it checks if its equal as well
=if(C2>5,"Bigger",if(C2<5,"Smaller","equal"))

Thank you.
Is this the equivalent of IF-THEN-ELSE?

Have you even bothered reading the syntax for IF function? Do you know that Excel has a Help for that?
>>289186
not sure. This is what google sheets has to say about it:
IF(boolean value, go here if true, go here if false).
In essence its like a True then else, yeah.

No, I havent.
I hope Libre Calc has it explained too. Thnx 4 encouragement.
