K-On! is the king of slice of life comedy in my opinion. If you like it you can watch somewhat similar stuff like Yuru Yuri, Yuyushiki, Kiniro Mosaic. I also recommend Binchou-tan and Wakako-zake, which are different but very light and calming (warning though, Binchou-tan can get sad occasionally.) Try looking up anime labeled "iyashikei" (healing).

Evangelion first and foremost if you've never seen it. I also like Ping Pong the Animation.

I think by far my favorite shows are clannad and k-on I've watch both plus some other shows.
