I'm looking for a way to generate file lists that include subdirectories. Basically something like pic related. I plan on using it for a site that lists mods for hentai games and I want people to be able to use it to tell if they're missing a file. Tried cmd's dir > filename.txt command but it doesn't include nearly enough information.

What do you want that cmd's dir doesn't do?
>>274260
try
ls -r -sh *
>>274262
List subdirectories and the files within them. Just something in a really clean format that I can copy and paste onto a site.
Like this:
\gamemod\models\model.mod
\gamemod\texture\texture.tex
\gamemod\menu\menu.menu
moditem.mod
readme.txt
cmd's dir command only outputs topmost directory IIRC.

Thank you, but although I have Windows and Linux installed I don't believe Linux would be able to read them on account of using a different file system. I know I get errors trying to read files on some Windows drives in Linux.

Perhaps try
dir /s/b/o:n >filename.txt

Holy smokes anon! That did the trick! Thank you so much!
Were I to acknowledge you, what fake name should I use?
>>274285
No real need to, just anon's fine.
Glad I helped

Okay, you got it! I won't forget this anon!

No sure if this is what you want but you could do:
tree directorypath /f /a > directorypath/output.txt
Should list the output similar to pic.

Thank you though that's more formatting than I'd like. I'll use dir with the arguments anon posted.
